As the only railway specialized exhibition in Korea, it celebrates its 12th anniversary this year, being one of the world’s top four railway exhibitions. This exhibition will be the largest to date, with 137 companies from 17 countries participating to showcase the current status and future visions of the latest railway technologies.

In the field of railway vehicle manufacturing, Hyundai Rotem revealed its hydrogen train model along with a high-speed train technology roadmap. WOOJIN SANJEON showcased autonomous electric buses and unmanned light rail, while Romansees launched a new diesel-electric locomotive model. Additionally, CRRC's high-speed rail technology is also gaining attention.

Second Busan Metropolitan City Urban Railroad Network Construction Plan

During the recent exhibition, Busan City unveiled the 'Second Urban Railroad Network Construction Plan' along with the 'Next-generation Busan-type Express Railroad (BuTX)'.

This plan aims to establish a public transport system that quickly and eco-friendlily connects all over Busan. In particular, the introduction of hydrogen railway vehicles connecting the new airport on Gadukdo and east-west Busan has generated great expectations among citizens.

BuTX is a low-carbon hydrogen-based railway system that is expected to become a key infrastructure representing 'Smart Rail City Busan' in conjunction with AI operational systems.
