Grilling Meat Restaurant 'Yukjeubi Tongyeong Branch' - Here for When You Want to Eat Meat Instead of Sashimi in Tongyeong!
When you think of Tongyeong, fresh seafood and sashimi usually come to mind. However, for a unique experience on this trip, I visited 'Yukjeubi Tongyeong Branch,' a specialty meat restaurant in Jungnim.

The Tongyeong intercity bus terminal is conveniently located near the North Tongyeong IC, making it an excellent place to enjoy a meal when coming in or out during your trip.

Yukjeubi is an attractive restaurant with its service of grilling meat for guests, stylish interior, and tender, rich-tasting meat. Based on my actual visit, I will provide detailed information about the taste, service, and atmosphere of the restaurant.

The address is 101, 86-14, Jungnim 2-ro, Gwangdo-myeon, Tongyeong, Gyeongnam. The business hours are every day from 4 PM to midnight.
You can contact them at 0507-1319-6108 and parking is available on the street in front of the store or nearby, though there is no designated parking area.
You can visit with children; baby chairs are provided, making it suitable for family guests. Meal menus like cold noodles and grilled hairtail with salted shrimp are also very popular.
Atmosphere of Yukjeubi Tongyeong

Yukjeubi offers a comfortable dining environment with modern interior design and spacious table arrangements.

The grill has a unique tilted design, allowing fat to flow to one side and reducing splattering, making it convenient for grilling meat.

The excellent ventilation system was impressive as it left little to no smoke or odor in the indoor area even when grilling meat. During my visit in early afternoon, more guests arrived, and the place eventually became full. They also prepare baby chairs, so I will have to try it during my next visit.
Signature Menu and Prices of Yukjeubi Tongyeong

Pork belly 150g is 13,000 won, and pork neck is offered at the same price. Cheonggyeopsal, or hangjeongsal, is 15,000 won for 120g. All the meat is fresh and domestic. Besides this, various dessert menus such as yukhoe, cold noodles, and grilled hairtail with salted shrimp provide a wide range of options.

The variety of yukhoe menus is eye-catching. Beef yukhoe is available at 20,000 won for 250g and 30,000 won for 400g, while grilled hairtail with salted shrimp is 5,000 won.
Bulgogi cold noodles and bibim naengmyeon are both 5,000 won, and soybean paste stew, bibimyeon, and ramen are inexpensive at 3,000 won.
This place allows you to enjoy both pork dishes and yukhoe together. During my early visit, I ordered simple pork belly, cheonggyeopsal, and bibim naengmyeon.

Side dishes included generous servings of myung-namul, lettuce salad, seasoned bean sprouts, grilled kimchi, sesame leaves, and roasted garlic. Among them, the lettuce salad had a spicy and sour taste that paired excellently with the meat.

The soybean paste stew is served as a staple, featuring a non-salty and spicy flavor. It's a dish that can be enjoyed without burden, and a non-spicy version of the stew is also available for children.

The pork belly and hangjeongsal (cheonggyeopsal) I ordered were both domestic, adding to their reliability. Especially, the hangjeongsal was served in chunks that retained the meat's texture, making it impressively chewy.
With the staff grilling the meat, there was no need to worry about the grilling process. It was the best experience to enjoy the great taste while focusing on conversation.
The grill is slightly slanted, allowing oil to drain off, while preserving the meat's juices, which is a significant advantage.

On the grill, you can also enjoy grilled onions, garlic, kimchi, and bean sprouts alongside the meat. Additionally, stir-frying rice on the grill would enhance the flavor.

True to its name, 'Yukjeubi,' the pork belly and hangjeongsal were full of pork juices.

The savory grilled hairtail with salted shrimp seasoning paired excellently with the cheonggyeopsal.

Wrapping some with myung-namul, the juicy and chewy meat flavor is simply amazing!

If you come when you're hungry, it seems like you should order at least three for two people. I regret not ordering another one...

The meal concluded with bibim naengmyeon, which was truly satisfying. The quick and kind refill of side dishes made it a pleasant experience.
