A Day at Hanwha Resort Eton Deluxe with Kids in Gyeongju
Gyeongju is known as an attractive destination for family travelers. Especially around the Bomun complex, resorts and various tourist attractions are clustered together, making it suitable for visits with children.
This time, the chosen accommodation was Hanwha Resort Gyeongju Eton Deluxe Room. Thanks to the company membership, I was able to stay for around 170,000 KRW on a Friday in April. Overall satisfaction was high, so I would like to share a detailed review.
Check-in and Check-out System
Online Pre-check-in and Kiosk Contactless Check-in
Upon arriving in Gyeongju, you can pre-check-in online at your reserved accommodation. Additionally, after arrival, you can use the kiosk set up in the lobby for a contactless check-in. This method saves time as you do not have to wait in line at the front desk.
Resolve Requests via Room Tablet
There is a tablet in the room that makes it easy to request towels, extend check-out times, and access various services. The check-out process can also be completed self-service via the tablet, making it very convenient. However, additional charges may apply for extra items requested or for extending check-out times, so be aware of this. Payment can be made during check-out.

1 - There is a simple vanity and wardrobe.

The bathroom

shower room
are completely separated, which is good.
The remodeled bathroom and shower room are kept very clean. The shower room is equipped with hand soap, shampoo, and body wash as standard, which is convenient. Additionally, towels are provided according to the number of guests, with four being useful.

The refrigerator is small, and it seems to lack freezing capability.
I particularly regretted that there was no electric rice cooker mentioned in other reviews. When I checked with the front desk, I was informed that "it is not provided due to low demand." However, they immediately brought one when I requested it. If you want to cook rice, it's a good idea to inquire at the front desk.
Other Daily Convenience Items
Bottled water is not provided, so it needs to be prepared in advance. The air conditioning is only installed in the living room, which may make the rooms feel somewhat hot in summer. Various convenience services can be accessed through the tablet in the living room.
Noise and View from the Room
Pros and Cons of the Pororo Aqua Village View
The view of Pororo Aqua Village's swimming pool from the room is attractive. However, at night, the noise from the pool's drainage is constant. I actually tried to sleep with the window open, but the noise was too loud and interfered with a comfortable sleep.
If you want a good night's sleep, consider a room with a mountain view. The scenery may be less impressive, but it will provide a quieter environment.
Inter-floor Noise Issues
The resort primarily caters to families, so inter-floor noise is often prevalent. You can frequently hear children running around from the upper floors, so you should take this into consideration when making a reservation. There aren’t many quiet hotels in Gyeongju, so if you are looking for a tranquil accommodation, it may be wise to consider individual pool villas or pensions.

The first floor is close to the entrance, making it very accessible, and you can find almost all the basic necessities for travel at the convenience store. It also has the breakfast restaurant Asadal and BBQ chicken, which is convenient. For dinner, I enjoyed a platter at Taxan Garden and will write a separate review about it.
Basement 1st Floor – Area Kids Will Love

The arcade offers various amusement rides and equipment for fun. There is also a coin karaoke so you can sing with your family. In addition, there is a passage connected to Pororo Aqua Village, providing a space that children can enjoy even more. If you are with kids, this is a must-visit area.
Overall Review and Intent to Revisit
Hanwha Resort Gyeongju Eton Deluxe Room is suitable for family travelers, providing an appropriate structure and facilities. Although there were issues with noise in the room and the air conditioning installation, overall it was a satisfying experience.
The check-in and check-out processes are very straightforward. There are various facilities available for children to enjoy, making it suitable for families. The cooking and living convenience in the room are also quite good. However, noise and cooling issues need to be considered depending on the season and location.
If I revisit Gyeongju, I would be very likely to stay here again. I especially want to strongly recommend it to families who want to enjoy both water activities and entertainment facilities.
